Heads up Potter fans! A lot has happened concerning the sixth installment of the Harry Potter franchise. We could do a long post about it but we decided that waiting for the Half Blood Prince movie’s release is enough wait for most of you so we’ll be doing a list of some of the most outrageous scoops ever about the movie. Read on for the scoops and watch out for a few extra juicy tidbits about the Deathly Hallows.
Scoop 1: Filming is over.
Emily Watson’s official website reported that filming for the “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” has officially wrapped up last May 17th. Now, the crew and production staff are focusing on doing the special effects and conjuring technical magic to make the movie even better. And just like Hermione, Emma is also preparing for her all-important A-level exams.
Scoop 2: John Williams to score HBP.
Top composer John Williams who did the musical score for the first three Potter movies might be back to score HBP – at least according to an article published by the Boston Globe. However, some rumors still insist that Nicholas Hooper who scored OoP will be doing the sixth movie’s music. Oh well, maybe they can work together?
Scoop 3: Moaning Myrtle not appearing in HBP.
Shirley Henderson, who played miserable, moaning, moping Myrtle, will not be appearing in the sixth movie as confirmed by her representative agency, Hamilton Hodell. So it’s a new reason to wait for the movie. Who will be witness to Draco’s sensitive side if they’d taken Myrtle out?
Scoop 4: Gaunt Cottage finally revealed?
CBBC Newsround recently posted an aerial photo of a rundown building believed to be the set for the Gaunt cottage – the place where Voldemort’s mum grew up. Aside from the cottage, new sets for key locations like the Burrow, Astronomy Tower, Hagrid’s Hut, and even Privet Drive were prepared for HBP.
Scoop 5: New Burrow scene added to the movie.
If you’re a fan of the Burrow? Then, you’ll be glad to know that the HBP staff added another Burrow scene in the movie that wasn’t actually found in the book. Producer David Barron has this to say about the extra scene: “I think you’ll like it. It’s quite effective.”
